
Contributor Profile: Amy Ress
Amy Ress is a designer and writer in the fields of public interest design and the arts. She is Program Manager at Public Architecture, a San Francisco-based national nonprofit that engages architecture and design firms, nonprofits, and manufacturers to commit to design for the public good through its nationally recognized 1% program. Amy serves as the public programming chair on the advisory board of the San Francisco Arts Commission Gallery.
Recent projects include Lights on Market Street, an arts and culture urban revitalization initiative that realized three site-specific temporary light installations, where Amy produced a case study on the partners, process, and outcome. Previous work in Architecture & Design at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art included supporting exhibitions, publications, and programs. Amy holds an MLA from the University of California, Berkeley and a BFA in photography from San Jose State University.
