
Contributor Profile: Donna Schumacher
Donna Schumacher is the founder and creative director of Donna Schumacher Architecture, which specializes in creative commercial and residential spaces in San Francisco. She holds a Masters Degree in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters in Fine Arts in Sculpture from the California College of the Arts. Schumacher’s thirty-year professional career spans the fields of architecture, art, professional writing, editing and teaching.
Her architecture work includes design for the following Bay Area businesses: Stearns Consulting, Rolex Repair SF, San Francisco Camerawork, San Francisco Arts Commission Gallery, and Works/San Jose.
Schumacher has contributed numerous articles for art and architecture publications, notably Flash Art and Sculpture Magazine. She served as the regional editor for Art Papers, and is presently editor of the VIEW, a quarterly newsletter for the professional organization, Commercial Real Estate Women, San Francisco. Schumacher has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in both architecture and art at the University of California, Berkeley, California College of Arts, and Roger Williams University in Rhode Island.
